Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what personal data DaveBfit collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. DaveBfit is a personal training and online coaching business run by David (“Dave”, “we”, “us”). For anything in this policy, you can contact us at davebfit@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us directly:
- Application form: name, email, phone (optional), which programme you’re interested in, and anything you tell us about your goals.
- Free meal plan sign-up: first name, email, and phone number if you choose to give it.
- Direct contact: anything you send us by phone, WhatsApp or email.
Google Analytics records anonymised information about how the site is used — pages viewed, roughly how long you stayed, and the sort of device you’re on. We use it to see which pages are actually useful. Your IP address is anonymised, and we don’t use advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange a consultation, deliver the coaching or meal plan you’ve asked for, and send the occasional coaching update if you’ve opted in. We don’t use your data for anything beyond what you’ve asked us to do, and we never sell it.
Who we share it with
Form submissions are handled by Google Analytics (only with your consent, as above), and Netlify, who host this site and process the form data on our behalf. If you book a consultation, that’s handled by Calendly, and the name, email and any details you enter go to them. If you choose to pay for coaching, that payment is handled directly by Stripe — we don’t see or store your card details. If you sign up through our TrueCoach profile, whatever you enter there is covered by TrueCoach’s own privacy policy, not this one. None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Video, social feed and cookies
Our client video reviews are hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play on a video — the preview images are served from this website. Once you do press play, YouTube may set cookies and receive your IP address, which is covered by Google’s privacy policy. Booking a consultation opens Calendly, which also sets its own cookies.
Our homepage shows a live Instagram feed through Behold, which loads posts and images on our behalf.
Our analytics don’t use cookies. Google Analytics runs here in a cookieless mode, which means it doesn’t store anything on your device or follow you between visits — each visit is counted on its own, and there’s nothing to opt out of. That’s also why you won’t see a cookie banner on this site. No advertising or tracking cookies are set at any point.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK (including the US), so your data may be processed there under their own security and legal safeguards.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it to respond to your enquiry or provide our services, or as long as we’re required to for legal or accounting reasons. If you’d like your data deleted sooner, just ask.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:
- show you what data we hold about you
- correct anything that’s wrong
- delete your data
- stop using your data, or hand it over to you in a portable format
To do any of this, email davebfit@gmail.com. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your data, you can also complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Under 18s
Our services are aimed at adults. If you’re under 18, please have a parent or guardian get in touch on your behalf.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, most likely as the site and services grow. The “last updated” date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
